Adullam awarded Investors in People (IiP) Silver

Adullam Homes is happy to announce that it has been awarded Silver status of the We are Investors in People (IiP) accreditation, demonstrating it is committed to realising the potential of its staff.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Only 15% of businesses that undertake the assessment achieve Silver, demonstrating how well Adullam has done.

The assessment included a staff questionnaire which was completed by more than 100 people, in-depth interviews with nine employees from across the organisation and evidence such as the Business Plan, Polices and Strategies, copies of staff newsletters and Supervision and Appraisal documents.

In the feedback report, the IiP assessor said: “You have made significant improvements in key areas since your Strategic Review in 2020.

“Although you have clearly achieved Silver accreditation, you are operating at Advanced in some of the criteria.”

Among strengths highlighted in the assessor’s report are the facts that staff truly believe Adullam’s values are at the heart of the organisation, managers are approachable, supportive and positive role models and there is a clear commitment to the ongoing development of people within the organisation.

Commenting on the award, Chief Executive Alison Sargent said: “Attracting and retaining the best staff to work in and to support our services is a key priority for Adullam. We have introduced several new features to help people develop their careers and they are working well for everyone concerned.  The IIP accreditation is very pleasing and a great framework for us to build on to do even better.”
