Waking Night Worker

Average 41.25 hours per week, worked on a rota
11.5 hours per shift (12.5 hours per shift on Sat & Sun)    
3 nights on and 3 nights off

Adullam works in the community with vulnerable and excluded people from a diverse range of backgrounds providing support through a variety of high quality housing, support and advice services.
To assist residents and service users we provide tailored support programmes, based on an individuals’ need, which enables residents to improve their quality of life and live independently.
The Association is a not for profit organisation; all surpluses generated are reinvested into key areas of our work.

We currently have a vacancy for a Waking Night Worker for our Care Leaver project in Chesterfield. 
The purpose of this role is to provide supported housing and support to Derbyshire Care Leavers, primarily aged between 16 – 18.  The principle outcome of the Project is that each care leaver is enabled to become more independent during the provision of the service, through acquiring the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours required to sustain independent living.
The key knowledge, skills and behaviours required for this role are:
• Experience of working with young people and an ability to relate and communicate with young people
• Awareness of the needs of young people, especially those who have been in care.
• Awareness of specific issues, such as substance dependencies and offending backgrounds etc
• Flexible, approachable, positive and enthusiastic
• Good IT and administration skills
